redemption... its all i want to have

Well... upon first listen to the new LTJ songs i'm not blown away. I've said it once and i'll say it again that horns make that band. Hello Rockview and B&B were amazing because they had killer horn parts. I really didn't like Anthem that much because it just sounds like an album full of radio happy singles with wimpy horn parts, predictable breakdowns and lyrics lamenting about leaving home and divorce... which is cool when you're a teenager but they've been in a band for like 17 years. It had some cool songs about alcohol... but i would argue that the titles were almost cooler than the actual lyrics. i did like B is for B sides more but it had the same problems i thought... the best part was the chorus of national anthem... it was the one really awesome catchy thing i thought that came out of those two albums....

These new songs sound a lot like those ones. i mean LTJ is cool because it does different stuff with horns but they're taking out the horns and it sort of all sounds the same. I do like everything is overrated the most.... i do like the ska style of rest of my life and still life... and i like the country style guitar intro of rest of my life.... but i dont know...
i think it might be another album i play occasionally but dont love start to finish. they need fat trombone parts... thats what makes them awesome...

although listening to them on repeat i'm starting to like them a little more... the lyrics can be a little average/cliche though.... i mean they're a successfull band... they should write about how awesome it is to do crystal meth with that girl from full house and stuff... not how their lives are going nowhere...

also do you know what music is awesome BOB MARLEY...LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF THERE WAS ONE ALBUM I COULD HEAR 24 HOURS A DAY, BEING SUNG ALONG TO BY PEOPLE WHO DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY LYRICS ARE IT WOULD BE THAT.

.. oh won't you help me sing ...songs about freedom... its what i want to have... redeeeeemption
