we can't escape our common savagery

So a few weeks ago I went to "Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament" for my friend Adam's birthday. It was fun. We wore hats, we at soup STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOWLS (no spoons... seriously crazy), and we cheered like crazy for our night.... i mean knight.

But when I started eating chicken and my half a potato with my hands, all that changed. The king had just found out one of his knights was a traitor, but he didn't know which one. His aide logically suggested that all the knights fight to the death, on the bet that the traitor will be in the 83% of his finest knights who get killed. The king was unsure, so he let the audience decide. So he asked "Shall we have them fight to the death?," the crowd erupted with applause. There were screams of "kill them all," and "more murder." Adam, who is usually a pretty calm guy started screaming "to the death! To the Death!" with fists clenched and blood vessels popping out of his neck.

And you know I thought to myself... all it took was some garlic bread and a couple cups of pepsi.

this is how hitler started.
